70s Inspired Denim Romper Outfits
Today I have an outfit inspiration that is quite unusual for me. Recently a denim romper fell into my hands, i.e. I accidentally found it in the streets and it fits perfectly. Hence, I’ve thought why not try to create some 70s inspired looks with it? I also have some inspo on my 70s fashion Pinterest board.
Normally, I neither wear shorts nor very short skirts but this time I made an exception. I must say that I’ve felt quite well and really sassy in this outfit. I am not sure yet if I would wear this in daily life but I enjoy the look!
Vintage Denim Romper Looks
Firstly. I’ve combined this denim romper with a white blouse and white tights. The flatcap also matches this style well and gives it a casual vibe. The blouse is the Eva Blouse by The Seamstress of Bloomsbury by the way. This is not a 70s fashion blouse but I like the bow tie and the voluminous sleeves. Perhaps you remember my hommage to the Lisa-Mae dress by the Seamstress? If not you can check it out here.
I also like to pair this look with my red vintage Mary Jane shoes from Marc Jacobs that I’ve recently got secondhand at momox. What is more, I also think this outfit looks cute with a true vintage blouse underneath. This floral blouse is by Blousey Vintage.
70s Casual Vibes
I also quite like this look combined with black boots and a black floppy hat. It somehow has the music festival vibe. However, I am not sure, I just like this outfit and I guess this would also look amazing with white 60s gogo boots.
These days, I am really unsure about what my preferred fashion era is. I believe the 1960s and 70s style suits me really well as it is more casual than previous eras. I have been dressing predominantly in an elegant way. However, I do feel a casual style can be very refreshing at times. Perhaps I am feeling a bit ‘naked’ with this look but anyways I’d like to share it with you here.
Summing up, I believe that it is great to try some new looks that may also seem out of character at first glace. However, I think that vintage fashion is also a wonderful way to discover new facets of one’s own personality. What do you think? Let me know in the comments below.
