Ava Knit Set by Saerli of Switzerland

Today, Sirinya Vintage would like to present to you the yellow knit set  by Saerli of Switzerland which I’ve won in a Christmas giveaway hosted by the wonderful Madame Rhos and Saerli of Switzerland. I’m very proud and in love with this set because it is not only very comfy but also elegant and can be combined in numerous ways.

Particularly, this skirt, I literally live it. It is so versatile and I also love the midi length of it. This angora skirt and sweater is inspired by the 1940s and 1950s knit sets. I’ve also worn this set to my first outdoor shooting this year and took some pictures myself on how to style the skirt.

Outfit Inspiration

First outfit inspiration: you can wear the set on its own which is wonderful in itself. You can add a 1950s style scarf or even a black wool hat to accessorise.

Or how about styling this angora set a navy knit blazer? It’s perfect for layering in the colder seasons, right?

However, you can also get more creative and combine this set with a faux fur coat, for instance. Personally, I really love leopard print because it is stylish and also a neutral, no? Here is my take on it!

Statement Colours

I also like to combine yellow with red because I feel that these statement colours go together well and also add some spring vibes to the outfit. How about this awesome red 1950s fashion red cardigan by timeless London (via Topvintage)? Wonderful, isn’t it? Oh and I would always recommend wearing a cream coloured blouse underneath. This one I’m wearing here is the vintageinspired Jive Blouse by The Seamstress of Bloomsbury which I got via Peggy Sue Vintage.

Last but not least, a very springlike combo is the yellow skirt and a floral blouse like this one by Blousey Vintage. This is a true vintage blouse, by the way. Just fabulous! I can only recommend you check out their Very Blousey Spring Collection which they are launching in short.

In a nutshell, I am just so happy with this versatile set, it is just a great staple if you are in the process of building a vintage wardrobe and you want something that is casual but also elegant at the same time. Additionally, it is also sustainable fashion so you cannot go wrong with that. Thus, just be creative, bold and unafraid to mix bright colours!
